Manzanillo Vacation Information:

Located 256 km south east of Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific coast, in the Mexico's west coast State of Colima, 43 km from the airport, with 20 km of coast line, Manzanillo is the busiest port in Mexico and a very beautiful, tranquil beach town at the foot of the Sierra Madre mountains. Self-proclaimed as the "Sailfish capital of the world", the city has hosted important national and international fishing competitions since 1957, many travellers who enjoy sport fishing choose a manzanillo vacation. The State of Colima is home to two Volcanoes: The Nevado the Colima and Volcan de Fuego.

There are 9 beaches for you to enjoy during your manzanillo vacation, they are found in the area encompassed by 2 bays and a peninsula between them where you can scuba, snorkel, water ski, jet ski sail, or kayak, some of the best known are: Las Brisas, and Las Hadas. Manzanillo vacation travel tips: Bus transportation is very good and easy to use as long as you have the right change. Taxis are also very affordable as long as you ask the price before you get in. Bargaining is ok on most craft and souvenir shops. The rainy season is June to October. The city as well as the entire state of Colima is in the Central time zone and Daylight Savings Time is in effect from April to November. The electrical current is 110v. Drink bottled water only. Spanish is spoken and English in the tourist areas. The Mexican Peso is the currency but US dollars are widely accepted and preferred when doing cash transactions. ATM machines are mainly available at downtown banks, most major credit cards are accepted, travellers cheques are easily accepted at most major hotels (mainly US currency). A valid passport is required and a tourist card to be filled out on arrival and handed in at departure, is included in your package.
