Ixtapa is a delightful destination which offers on one side a modern and luxurious town, as well as a charming fishing village on the other called Zihuatanejo. Both destinations offer a peaceful ambiance, with first-class service. Ixtapa is located northwest of Acapulco, and offers one of the better beaches where many activities combing with the beauty and excellent infrastructure of tourist developments.
Ixtapa has two fabulous golf courses, and has also become one of the most popular places to sport fish with up to 80 kg specimens of sailfish, blue marlin and yellow fin tuna. The main currency in Ixtapa is the Mexican Peso and the average temperature is 77 degrees fahrenheit in the winter and 86 degrees fahrenheit in the summer, and the electricty is the same as in the US or Canada. Ixtapa also offers water sports on almost every beach, and there are also very many seafood restaurants.
