The 'original' Acapulco is on the northern end of the bay, where famous Hollywood actor John Wayne owned hotels. The south end of Acapulco bay is where the new constructions are including resorts and high rise hotels. Acapulco’s main attraction is still its nightlife and has been for decades. Cover charges for nightclubs vary but most of the times, men pay more to get in than women. Nightclubs do not open its doors to dancers until 11:00 pm, and the party continues until 4 or 5 am in the morning.
