For More Info: Click Here >>DAY 3: Nairobi - Maasai Mara National Game Reserve Leaving Nairobi after breakfast, you'll travel by road to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, you will go through the Rift Valley a great a opportunity to experience Kenya's Country side, learn about Africa and enjoy the beautiful and changing landscapes. At the foot of the escarpment there is a picturesque Chapel built by Italian prisoners of War, who built the roads during World War II. Another sight is the Longonot Earth Satellite Station a remarkable complex and the first of its kind in East Africa. Head across the Valley to Narok Town, the last Village before entering the Maasai, reach the Maasai Mara in time for lunch. Maasai Mara National Reserve is one of the most well known and visited tourist destinations in Kenya. Home to the Maasai tribes people the Mara as is known by the locals is the Kenyan part of a large Ecosystem that extends past Kenya's border in to Tanzania's Serengeti, together they are the site of the famous Migration, an annual mass movement of wildebeest, gazelles and zebras. But the Park has excellent abundant wildlife year round, there is great opportunity to encounter the big five: Buffalo, Elephant, Leopard, Lion and Rhino. Following lunch and a siesta, there is an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge as the sun sets. For More Info: Click Here >>DAY 4: Maasai Village - Maasai Mara National Reserve After an early breakfast, clients will depart for a visit to a Maasai village, learn about the way of life and traditions in the Tribes of the Maasai people, they welcome you in to their village with a traditional dance show, go inside one of their mud huts and listen to an explanation of how it was built, you also get to visit the village's school and interact with the children. You are welcome to bring them a donation or purchase some of their handcrafts, be prepare to bargain. Continue with a morning game drive to explore Kenya's most famous Park. Its name comes from the Mara River that divides Kenya and Tanzania and the Maasai people that live in the area, who also own an manage the Park. Maasai Mara National Park is a vast savannah home to 410 species of birds and 60 species of raptors, you can always see plenty of wildlife even when you visit outside of migration time which happens from July to September. For More Info: Click Here >>DAY 5: Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru Leaving the Maasai Mara after breakfast, drive four hours to Lake Nakuru, travel across the vast plains of Maasai land on the floor of the Rift Valley, keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle as you head up the Mau Escarpment, before arriving at the 4* Lake Nakuru Lodge for lunch. This is a very comfortable lodge, rooms have en suite bathrooms with shower. Excellent location with great views of the Lake and passing wildlife. Lake Nakuru National Park is a very unique site full of flamingos and all sorts of wild game lining the shores of the lake all surrounded by beautiful forested uplands and cliffs. The Park is fully fenced, and has a good number of black and white rhinos, Rothschild giraffe, buffalos, leopards, zebras eland, waterbuck and lions. Later, leaving the Rift Valley behind, will stop in Nairobi to collect a picnic lunch and then drive south towards Amboseli National Park. Arrive at your lodge by late afternoon.
