Grenada is located in the eastern Caribbean, and is the southernmost of the Windward islands. Grenada is situated 100 miles north of Venezuela, and is 12 degrees north of the equator. The state of Grenada, which includes Carriacou and Petit Martinique to the north contains 133 square miles. The island itself is 12 miles wide and 21 miles long, and the capital city of Grenada is St.George's. The main language is English, and the population is approximately 102,000 people.
