ITINERARY

DAY 1
This evening you will board your flight to Cairo via Europe. Flights are with Air Canada/KLM/Alitalia/Olympic Airways/British Airways/Egypt Air.

DAY 2 - Arrive in Cairo
Upon arrival in Cairo our representative will meet and assist you through immigration and customs and then will escort you via private vehicle to your hotel. (4 Star hotel)

DAY 3 - Cairo
Full Day Cairo Tour, After Breakfast, there is a full day of sightseeing, Visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which includes the world’s largest collection of Pharaonic artifacts and the treasures of Tutankhamen’s tomb. After lunch, drive to Old Cairo to visit Moallaka Church, (Hanging Church) and Ben Ezra Synagogue, followed by a visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza & the Sphinx. Then proceed to Khan el Khalili bazaar. Transfer back to your hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch)

DAY 4 - Cairo
Full Pyramids Tour, After Breakfast you visit the ruins of the city of Memphis to admire the 40 foot statue of Ramses 11 and the Alabaster Sphinx, the Necropolis of Sakkara sit of the step Pyramid of Zoser. Lunch included. This evening transfer to Train Station to board your sleeper train to Aswan. (The first class sleeper rooms on the train include dinner and breakfast). (B, L, D)

DAY 5 - Aswan
Arrival Aswan. After breakfast onboard train, you will be escorted to your Nile cruise ship (5* Cruise w/ 3 Meals included daily). Visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries with the unfinished Obelisk and the temple of Philae. You will pass by Elephantine Island and view the botanical gardens on Kitchener Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum by Felucca. Return to your ship, sail to Kom Ombo.

DAY 6 - Aswan/Kom Ombo/Edfu
After breakfast, visit the temple of Sobek (also known as Kom Ombo), after the visit sail to Edfu, on arrival by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus with its menacing black stone statue of the Falcon God. Built in the time of Cleopatra about 2000 years ago, it is recent by Egyptian standards and is beautifully preserved. Sail to Esna, passing through the Esna Lock and Continue to Luxor.

DAY 7 - Luxor
After breakfast see the stunning monuments of Karnak the greatest city of ancient Egypt. Walk among the pillars of the colossal Temple of Amon Ra, along the Avenue of the Sphinxes with overnight on your Nile Cruise.

DAY 8 - Luxor
We disembark after breakfast and visit the West Bank to see the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens where generations of Pharaohs and Nobles were buried in great splendor in crypts cut into cliffs. Sixty two royal tombs have been uncovered so far, of which one, the tomb of Tutankhamon was nearly involate when discovered in Colossi of Memnon. Transfer to train station to board your sleeper train to Cairo.

DAY 9 - Cairo (Optional Sound & Light Cairo)
Upon arrival in Cairo you will be met and escorted to your hotel. (4* including breakfast daily) Free day for shopping and sightseeing.

DAY 10
After Breakfast you will be transferred from your hotel to Cairo Airport for your flight back home.
