Santa Lucia (Camaguey) Vacation Information:

Located on the East Central part of Cuba on the Atlantic Ocean Coast, and 110 Kilometers from the Airport. The currency is the Cuban convertible peso, this is only available in Cuba there is no use for it outside of Cuba. Most major credit cards are accepted but only it they have been drawn from banks outside of the USA, traveller's cheques are not accepted. ATM machines are not available. You will need to pay $25 convertible pesos in exact cash per person when departing Camaguey.

Long distance charges may turn out to be very expensive, opt for buying a calling card, internet services are not readily available or sometimes is very unreliable. Walkie talkies, GPS and cordless phones are not allowed in Cuba. Is recommended to bring an adaptor since electricity varies between 110v and 220v. Flight duration is 3 to 4 hours and most flights are non stop, you can only find 3* moderate resorts in Camaguey all of them offer all inclusive plans and have diving packages to purchase locally. Drinking bottled water is recommended. Travel Medical Insurance is mandatory for all passengers to Cuba.
