Tehran is the capital city and the largest of Iran as well as the administrative centre for the whole country. Tehran has a population of 7 million people and the metropolitan area is home to 13.4 million people. Tehran’s climates is arid, and generally described as mild in the spring, hot and dry in the summer, pleasant in the fall and cold in winter. The hottest month is July temperatures during this time range from 23C to 36C. The coldest month is January, temperatures range from -1C to 8C.
