Sarajevo Flights

Sarajevo is the largest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is home to some 304,614 people. Sarajevo is in the Sarajevo valley of Bosnia and surrounded by the Dinaric Alps. Sarajevo was known for its traditional religious diversity. Orthodox, Catholic, and Judaist believers coexisted there for hundreds of years. Sarajevo has been the centre of historical events a few times, in 1914 it was the place of an assassination that started World War I, and in1984 was the host city for the winter Olympics. Most recently Sarajevo was the battleground for the Bosnian war.

Sarajevo has a mild climate, average temperature during the year is 9.5 C, January is the coldest month when temperatures drop to -1.3C being the coldest temperature of the winter time.

Places to visit in Sarajevo include the Ars Aevi Museum of Contemporary Art, the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Museum of Sarajevo, the Museum of Literature and Theatre Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, among others. Sarajevo is home to the Sarajevo Film Festival that started in 1995 and became the main film festival in the Balkan region.
