Porto Flights

Porto is Portugal’s largest city, also known as the Port. The city’s name comes from the Roman settlement of Portus Cale.

Porto is Portugal’s second largest city and home to 1.7 million people. This is an interesting city, full of history and culture although very industrialized Porto offers plenty to see and do. Holiday resorts are located along the coast as well as seafood restaurants. Porto is the economic and cultural center of the region.

Porto was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO back in 1996 for its medieval borough. Porto has many museum and houses of culture, among them, Museum Nacional de Arte Contemporanea (National Museum of Contemporary Art), Museum Nacional de Soares dos Reis, and places worth visiting include Avenida dos Aliados, one of Porto’s main streets, the Oporto Cathedral, Palacio da Bolsa (Stock exchange Palace), the concert hall space Casa da Musica, and the historical Sao Joao National Theatre, among many others.
